Adapting to an unpredictable industry

The business of real estate is predictably unpredictable.

Everything in your day-to-day work schedule from showings to booking photography, unforeseen things can pop up at random and those who work in the real estate industry have adapted to this reality.  As real estate photographers, our job is primarily to capture eye-catching photos and attract buyers to the listing, at least on the surface.  However, those of us who have been around a while know there is much more to our role.  We see the bigger picture so-to-speak (no pun intended).

Aside from producing top notch real estate photography, we view our role as a supporting member of a real estate team. This means our responsibility extends beyond photography, RMS measurements, virtual tours, and into helping our clients adapt to the chaos that is the real estate industry.

Here is a feature of our service that was built specifically to mitigate unpredictable weather during photoshoots. Consider this scenario:

Your new listing is ready to hit the real estate market so you need to book some eye-catching photography (if this is you, we’ve got your back).  Being the diligent agent that you are, you found the perfect day and the weather is just right.  Not too cold not too hot, no wind not a cloud in site. You’re even doing some high level trigonometry to calculate what angle the sun will hit those gleamy hardwood floors at your new listings.  Everything is just PERFECT

On the day of the shoot, you wake up, look outside to see everything is going according to plan.  However by the time the photographer arrives, things have changed and mother nature is now wreaking havoc on your photoshoot. If you’ve been in Calgary for any length of time – with our smoky summers and over unpredictable weather - this sort of thing has probably happened to you (and likely more than once).  Which is why we providing FREE “Blue Sky Insurance” on all your real estate photography. So no matter what mother nature decides on the day of your shoot, your photos will always look great.

So how does this work? Well it’s pretty simple.  Book a photoshoot with us and rest assured knowing we’ve got your back in the event unintended weather.  When your photos are delivered, there will be a folder labelled “Sky Replacement”.  Inside will contain your edited photos transforming any dull grey sky to a sunny day.

And of course this service is included for FREE with any photoshoot.  We hope this helps!
